Knit Your First Sock Class - 2 Sessions: Saturday, November 14th & 21st, 1:00pm - 4:00pm (includes homework)
Please do not fear turning the heel, making gussets, or reading a pattern!
This class is geared toward an advanced beginner. Please be able to confidently know how to cast-on, knit, and purl. We will tackle pattern reading together if this is a new skill to you.
In the first session will be focused on starting the cuff of the sock. Students will be sent home with the knowledge of how to knit in the round and the skills necessary to finish the cuff before the next class.
In the second session we will make the heel flap, turn the heel, and make the gussets. This is where all the angst and ire happens. Fear not! We will face them head-on and show them who’s boss! You will leave working the rest of the sock and able to decrease for the toe and finish on your own. This is the second day’s homework: bring the finished sock into Keldi for a 20% off coupon on your next sock yarn!
Materials List:
430 yds/100g skein of yarn or equivilant
Size 2 double pointed needles or circular needles.
