Needle Felted Mushroom or Spring Egg

Perfect for absolute beginners.

Learn the basics of needle felting while creating your choice of a sculpted mushroom or a seasonal egg.

This beginner-friendly class covers core techniques including shaping, layering, and finishing. You'll leave with a completed piece and the skills to continue exploring the world of felting!

Beginning Purling Class

Beginning Purling: Learn the next basic stitch in the art of knitting

This class is a continuation of the beginning knitting class.
Students will practice casting on, learn the purl stitch, and if we get really fancy, we can give ribbing a try, finally we will cast off. (Hopefully into calm waters and not off a cliff).

Beginning Spinning Class: Drop Spindle

Learn to create your own yarn using a drop spindle

Tap into a skill that is millennia old! Discover the quiet magic of spinning your own yarn.

In this class you will learn about drafting wool for spinning, twist control, park and draft techniques, and spin your first yarn! You will leave understanding not just how to spin, but why yarn behaves the way it does.

Be prepared to make uneven and creative yarn at first.

Date: Saturday, April 11th
Time: 10:00 - 2:00 with a break for lunch BYOL or scavenge locally.

Introduction to Crochet

Join Megan from MCFiberArts at Wool Stone Craft to get an introduction to the art of crochet, from starting a project with a row of chain stitch to building on that foundation row with single and double crochet stitches and fastening off. You will leave with a finished coaster!
You will also go home with a pamphlet covering other stitches that you can use to create beautiful works of fiber art.

Knit Your First Hat!

**Please note that this is a two-session class occurring on two consecutive Saturdays! April 25th and May 2nd.
A next-step class for confident beginners.
We will build on the basic skills and introduce working in the round, shaping, and finishing techniques. You'll leave with a completed hat (or very close) and the confidence to keep going on your own.


This class is perfect for knitters who are comfortable with casting on, knitting, and binding off, and are ready for the next step.


You will learn:
How to knit in the round
Basic shaping (decreases on purpose)
Reading a simple pattern
Finishing your hat neatly

Saturday, April 25th and May 2nd
10:00 - Noon (four total hours of class)
Cost: $45.00 (Includes both class sessions and pattern)
Yarn and needles are available for purchase in the shop ~ we used Taiga Farm's Icelandic wool.
You may bring your own: worsted weight yarn and US 6 circular &/or DPNS (We are happy to check it before class)

Join Wool Stone Craft for Knit Night on Monday evenings at the shop.

5:00 - 9:00 casual, drop in or out as you are able.

All portable handwork is welcome. If you can drag it through the door, you can work on it here!
